A big thank you to everyone from Sussex Pathways who gave up their time to support the the Lewes Crown Court Open Day on Saturday 13th September. With a record 1,590 visitors, the event was a fantastic success, and our stall proved to be a popular stop for many.
Attendees, including many families and school groups, explored the courts, joined mock trials, and even tried on judges’ wigs. The energy and curiosity from visitors was clear to see.
Our team at the Sussex Pathways stall, located just outside Court 4, had some great conversations with the public. A number of people signed up to learn more about our work, several thanked us for what we do, and many were curious about volunteering opportunities.
We were encouraged by the level of interest shown on the day. Hopefully, some of those who stopped by will take their interest further and become part of our mission to support people leaving prison and reduce reoffending.
