Real Stories, Real Progress
Seeing the impact our work has on the lives of prisoners and prison leavers is what drives Sussex Pathways. We are delighted to share recent feedback from two of our programmes: Kintsugi and Pathways to Change.
We have also been informed by HMP Lewes that our programmes achieve the highest attendance rates of any activities delivered within the prison, with attendance consistently exceeding 70%.
Below, you can read updates on both programmes from Neal Allistone, our Specialist Delivery Officer, along with feedback from participants.
Kintsugi
The Kintsugi group is still popular in HMP Lewes and as such we have condensed the group to run within 4 weeks enabling us to be able to offer it to prisoners serving a 56 Day Recall.
We are still subject to losing participants to prison transfer and early release though and consequently, 3 out of the 8 prisoner who started the course completed it.
The conversation is different with recalled prisoners as they see behaviour patterns causing damage in their lives. and want to break those patterns.
"It helped me let go of past trauma and learn that things can be mended."
"was good fun and very relaxing...helped 100%"
Pathways to Change
Another PTC Group has come to an end after 7 sessions. We started with 12 prisoners sat in the group in deep conversation. 7 weeks later some were released and some transferred, with 4 prisoners completing all 7 sessions. We heard some moving stories from the men and witnessed moments of true compassion and respect for each other. It is such a privilege to be in those groups with these men.
The next group is ready to start and, even though I have sat in so many groups, I have a nervous excitement about what the energy, atmosphere and attitude will be on that first session. "I don't care for an easy job, I like an interesting life" is my mantra.
"it has improved how I talk to others and how I can help others"
"I felt comfortable quickly and opened up, I don't normally feel good in groups"
"this course has made me think of the pain I have caused and that I know I can change"
"I have learnt so much about myself doing this course...I'm excited about my future and being the best version of myself."

Evaluating how international web platforms handle event listeners and click response times for the United Kingdom market is a major part of my daily routine. A designer in a Wolverhampton UI channel recently pointed out the frontend setup of bonus kong casino, which prompted me to open their homepage and check the overall structural layout stability. The system functions flawlessly without any dead clicks or freezing text layers, proving that a minified code structure is incredibly effective for keeping a clean user framework.
