What a mix of emotions summer brings. Many of us are loving the hot sunshine, the long days, and the warm evenings, while at the same time feeling concerned about the lack of rain and wondering when it will finally arrive. The last summer I remember being quite like this was in 1976 (yes, I am that old!), and it stretched into an Indian summer well into October and November. I was recently talking with my 13-year-old granddaughter, whose favourite season is autumn. She can't wait for the cosy evenings!
Over the last few weeks, we have had the sadness of saying goodbye to Niamh as she embarks on an exciting new chapter as an Assistant Psychologist. This is a very well-deserved achievement, and I have no doubt she will be fantastic in her new role. Their gain is certainly our loss, but Niamh is stepping into her dream job, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. Congratulations, Niamh, and thank you for everything you have contributed to Sussex Pathways.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our supporters and funders:
Probation Services for awarding grants towards Inspirational House and the delivery of Kintsugi for women in the community. Both are exciting projects that will make a real difference.
The Clothworkers' Foundation for approving a grant towards Inspirational House.
B&Q for their generous donation of paint, more paint, and plant bulbs.
Dunelm for donating bedding for the house.
We are so grateful for all grants and donations, these make what we do easier. We cannot thank you enough.
Welcome to our four new Trustees, Matt, Clare, Tom and Jess, please take a look at our "Meet the Trustees" page for short Bio’s and photos. Sussex Pathways welcomes you to the fold and looks forward to what you will bring to the board.
Thank you for taking the time to read this update, we hope that you have enjoyed it.
